Our Story

It begins with an idea, a gathering up the right tools, the right materials, and a lot of heart. All of our Santas are individually handcrafted with love and patience, to bring a spirit of wonder and delight from our home to yours.

As a five year old trying to make the best of summer camp, I discovered an easel and some paints. This changed everything – I was completely enthralled, became glued to the spot and quite difficult to remove!

Not much has changed in the decades since. To this day, I’m truly happiest when crafting something with my hands and am rarely without several projects going at once. Creating is my passion. Sharing it is my joy.

Santasia was born from these lifelong interests. Each Santasia figure is completely handmade, with attention to every detail.  All work is done in our home, and each one is unique, be it the whimsical paper mache, the wooden primitive, or the old world Father Christmas. 

The ability to create and send expressions of joy out into the world is a driving force in my workshop. Love is infused into each character and I hope that the smile placed on every Santasia face becomes a smile for you as well!
